Arms and armour collection

The collection of arms and armour is considered to be one of the largest in Slovenia and includes weapons and equipment from late medieval times to the middle of the 20th century. Among the oldest artefacts in the collection are Franconian swords from the 13th and 14th centuries and combat thrashers with movable heads from the 16th century. The sword breaker from 1620 is unique. In addition to cold and older firearms the collection also holds artistically designed hunting rifles from the 18th and 19th centuries, military rifles from the former Austro-Hungarian army and other World War I armies.
