Pedagogical and andragogical work

As well as lessons and guided tours of the exhibitions for school children, the museum also carries out independent pedagogical programmes. The Muzejski abonma (Museum Seasons), programme for kindergarten children, includes 7 creative workshops throughout the school year. The museum’s workshops in July and August are called Grajsko poletje (Castle’s summer). Velike stvaritve malih mojstrov (Great creations of small masters) invites school children (3rd–9th grades) to express their visions of specific museum projects through fine art. Mali simpozij (Small symposium) is intended for school children from the 7th–9th grades to present their reports, which the museum then publishes in a book. Our adults’ programme consists of guided tours and programmes called Muzejski klub (Museum club), Muzejski večeri (Evenings in the museum) and Oživljeni predmeti (Revived objects).
