Illuminate collection

The collection includes glass, wooden and metal chandeliers with various stylistic features (17th–20th centuries) and simple blacksmiths’ products like wrought iron candlesticks, lanterns, small lamps, oil lamps and tallow lamps. Characteristics of individual styles are shown through candleholders bearing more than one candle. The collection also includes oil lamps, Argand lamps and paraffin lamps as well as various equipment that was used in connection with lights: scissors for trimming wicks, candlesnuffers, tinderbox and tinder and lighters. Among the lights for sacral use the altar candlesticks and hanging oil lamps - eternal lights dominate.
