Framework collection

The collection is composed of artefacts closely connected to paintings and living habits. A 17th century wooden altar frame that was set at home displays altar architectural features. Frames from the 18th century display the diversity of the Baroque period through varied ornamentation, lively contours and different profiles. There are numerous frames from the 19th century with Empire, Biedermeier and Historicism characteristics. The piece that stands out among the mirrors is one from the late Renaissance of the 17th century. The collection also includes wall, toilet and standing mirrors and ones included in furniture.
